Hokie Nation,
I wanted to take the time to personally introduce myself. My name is Brad Bell, and I am proud to now serve you as the Executive Associate Athletic Director of Advancement and the Executive Director of the Hokie Club. I am writing this letter during my second week on the job here in Blacksburg, and I have been pleasantly overwhelmed by the friendly people at Virginia Tech and their commitment to making me and my family feel welcome during our short time here. I can already tell what you all mean when you say, "This is Home."
I believe Virginia Tech has the potential to be one of the premier athletic departments in the country. We have the tools, the strategy, and many of the people in place to make this a reality. Most importantly, we have you, the most passionate fan base in the country.
Now, it is up to us in the Hokie Club to uphold our mission of not only acquiring the resources possible to win championships in Blacksburg, but also to create a world-class experience for over 500 student-athletes and our donors.
During my time at Georgia, our department enjoyed historic success highlighted by back-to-back CFP National Championship victories. The 2022 national championship was the Bulldogs' first title in over 40 years. It took dedicated, deliberate work on the fundraising side to elevate the resources needed to build a true championship-caliber program, which also enhanced the outlook for all of our other sports in Athens.
We can do the same thing here at Virginia Tech, and to do it, we will need all of Hokie Nation to invest in the future of our athletic department.
I can promise you that I will lead a devoted team in the Hokie Club office that will remain steadfast in its goal of making sure our varsity sports have what they need to compete at the highest level. Hokie Nation deserves championship moments, and we are going to help raise banners and bring trophies home to Blacksburg.
I am excited to dive further into the work, and I also look forward to meeting so many of you at our games and events this upcoming school year.
Go Hokies!
Brad Bell
Executive Associate AD of Advancement, Executive Director of the Hokie Club
